Born Gautami Tadimalla, Gautami built her career mainly in Tamil and Telugu cinema from the late 1980s, including Thevar Magan and Mani Ratnam's Iruvar, with Kannada credits in Elu Suttina Kote (1987), Chikkejamanru (1992) and Cheluva (1997). After a career break, she returned as a costume designer, winning the Vijay Award for Best Costume Designer for Dasavathaaram, before returning to acting in Papanasam (2015).
Biography
